The excitement is building! After years of dreaming, planning, and honing my photography skills, I’m thrilled to announce that I now have a new professional studio space. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has sent their congratulations; your support means the world to me! ♥️
However, I must admit—I’m feeling those familiar jitters! Many people have said, “It’s the worst time to rent a place,” and questions like, “Do you think you’ll be able to make it work?” have been swirling in my mind. Feeling both thrilled and anxious during such a big transition is completely natural.
Still, I remind myself: I've been in this field for 16 years! I know the ins and outs, and I am confident this new studio is the perfect next step for me. Plus, my mind is buzzing with creative ideas that I can't wait to share with you all.
The Energy of a Studio Space - The Vision
A studio offers so much more than just walls and a ceiling. It creates a unique atmosphere where I can curate the perfect environment for every project. Finally, I will have a dedicated space to let my creativity flourish—no more waiting for the perfect lighting or being worried my house isn't clean enough!
Furthermore, having my own studio expands my offerings. I can develop tailored photography packages for various sessions, such as family portraits, engagement shoots, and milestone events. For instance, I am planning bespoke themed shoots that appeal to specific interests or seasons, such as a whimsical fairytale theme or a beach-inspired summer session.
Location
The location of my studio in Minehead, Somerset. It means I am not only serving my local area but also attracting clients from nearby Taunton, Devon and Bristol. This strategic decision makes my studio easily accessible for families and couples seeking excellent photography.
My goal is to cultivate a welcoming community around my studio where clients feel comfortable and inspired. Imagine a family stepping into the studio for a photoshoot filled with laughter and creativity or a couple preparing for their wedding day, completely at ease knowing their special moments are in trusted hands.
A Place for New Ideas
Having my own studio opens the door to endless possibilities for new projects. I am genuinely excited to explore fresh concepts and challenge my creativity. For instance, those empowering photoshoots ladies dream of having to ignite their new found love for themselves - I NOW HAVE THE SPACE! Picture slaying in multiple outfits and walking out feeling like a new you.
Additionally, I envision offering workshops catered to aspiring photographers. These sessions will allow others to explore their skills while providing hands-on experience in a supportive atmosphere. I'm also eager to showcase local talent by collaborating with Somerset artisans for events that celebrate our community. Plus renting my studio space to fellow creatives.
The Journey Ahead
Looking forward, I feel incredibly optimistic. I can’t wait to invite you all to explore this new studio space with me! I am planning a studio tour soon, where I will show off all the nooks, decorations, and setups I’ve been developing.
